Uuden Vuoden lupaukseni ovat niitä samoja, joita toistelen joka päivä, etten unohtaisi niitä. Ei mitään uutta ja mullistavaa, pienenpieniä muutoksia ja parempia valintoja, hitusen enemmän lähimmäisenrakkautta ja vähemmän paskantärkeää omasta itsestä murehtimista, hyväntahtoista luottamista ihmisiin - ja itse luottamuksen arvoisena olemista. Teen vuodesta 2006 edellistä agentimman, sähäkämmän, aktiivisemman, intohimoisemman, hauskemman, vastuuntuntoisemman ja rehellisemmän itseäni kohtaan (olen ollut tänä vuonna muita kohtaan paljon rehellisempi kuin itseäni kohtaan).

Vuoden viimeinen päivä. Aika on käymässä vähiin. Kävin salilla ähkimässä hetken ennen bodybalancea. Mietin tunnin aikana, että minkälaisenkohan Hanin näen vuoden kuluttua jumppasalin peilistä, mutta päädyin olemaan tyytyväinen kunhan ylipäätä näen Hanin jumppasalin peilistä.

Kuuntelen Bonnie Raittin levyä Silver Lining, jonka sain isältäni joululahjaksi yhden Valley of Pain-kappaleen riimin takia: "don't let me grow bitter I pray / give me strength to carry on my way."
Tällainen monisävyinen funkahtava blues-rock saisi soida ensi vuonna enemmän. Jammaillen eteenpäin, juna kulkee!
