This may be a baffling month, with all sorts of shocks, surprises, and mixed messages, so you'll need to take time to sort out all you hear. Things may not be quite as they seem, and should you feel a little overwhelmed at times, step back and take time to think.
September will be neatly sliced in two, with love and friendship to be your focus during the first half, and your work and your health and fitness the focus in the second half. In a way, it may seem like two months rolled into one.
Let's start at the top of the month. The new moon that arrived late last month on August 30, in your house of true love, will still be strong in the first week of September and will turn your thoughts to a person you've been dating. If you've not dated lately, then you'll be motivated to change the ways you've tried to meet people. If you are single and hope to meet someone new, you will have the edge at that new moon, doubly so if your birthday falls within five days of April 27.
This new moon appeared very close to Saturn, so that suggests you are about to make a serious, long-term decision about your love life. If you have been dating, then it will be about the person you've been dating. If you are single and not dating, then Saturn will make you discriminating, yet practical and realistic, about whom you start to date. If you sense the person isn't really serious about a long-term alliance, you may leave. If you are attached, Saturn's stabilizing vibrations may urge you to make a decision about planning for a baby.
On September 3, Saturn will conjoin the Sun, a rather sobering influence. This is not an easy aspect, for icy Saturn will move over the Sun's fire in your house of true love and children. If you are dating, you will know instantly if you've been realistic about your current relationship, for that's Saturn's job - to make you practical. If you've been living a fantasy (and it's easy to do that in love - which of us has not at times?) then it will seem as though someone turned on the fluorescent lights in your life - the glare may be hard to take.
The Sun also rules your home in the solar Taurus chart, so you may have to make a decision about where to live or about whether you can afford to buy a house or renovate, or concerning other domestic, family, or home-related questions.
If you are single and dating and had planned to move in with your lover, you may have second thoughts about doing so on September 3. Saturn wants you to have contingency plans, so it may not be wise to give up your present apartment, even for economic reasons. Keep your place empty or rent it to a friend (if allowed). Or, don't move at all. You can still be together a great deal without moving in.
The fifth house, where Saturn will meet the Sun on September 3, also rules creativity. You may find that someone in authority has harsh words to say about one of your artistic projects. That's always tough to hear. If you don't agree with the criticism, let the words roll off you and remain true to your own instincts. If, being honest with yourself, you feel you might benefit from all or part of what is said to you, take it and use it to your benefit. Don't become crushed by it - in a few days you probably won't even remember this episode.
There is one other possible manifestation of Saturn's influence on September 3. The fifth house rules pregnancy, so if you have had problems with conception or pregnancy, be sure to get plenty of rest. Listen to all your doctor's advice too, as it would not be the time to deviate - follow all the advice to the letter.
If you have children, one may be a source of concern on this date. If so, be generous to your child - you don't want to come down too hard and appear like "Saturn, the villain" to that child (very possible). Remember, everyone will feel this aspect, even your child! Give your time, attention, and love to that child near September 3.
The very next day, September 4, Jupiter and the Sun will be at lovely angles. Jupiter will be in your travel sector, and the Sun in your creative sector. You may get a call from an overseas client about an opportunity to export your talents abroad. Or, you may travel far on this day. If the latter is the case, you'll do very well, and your cup of good fortune will runneth over! Also, if you've applied to a college for admittance, or if you need to take a test, you should be pleased with the results. Publishing, broadcasting, and other media-related talks or opportunities all will go well.
Difficult aspects will hit at mid-month and I am sorry to have to say this. This time, on September 12, you may hear a shocking surprise about a lover or child when Uranus will oppose the Sun. On the heels of this, at the full moon on September 15, Uranus will conjunct the full moon, directing your attention to a friend. These two aspects, falling so close, will overlap and could be quite jarring. When it comes to Uranus, you can never accurately predict the outcome.
A friend may be in crisis and need your urgent help, or you may find that the board members of a club you belong to (or hope to join) will act erratically or strangely for some reason. It is also possible that in an extreme manifestation of this trend, a friend will betray you. Let's hope this aspect won't apply to you.
The moon in any chart also rules home, family, and the overall domestic condition, so a situation may arise there and will be part of the discussion, too. Again something seems to happen suddenly, without warning. It's also possible that if you are in the process of renovation or repairs, you may feel like your place is temporarily in shambles - in that case, the operative word to remember is "temporarily." If you are doing renovations, make sure you stay on top of what your contractor is doing and spending.
Admittedly, these aspects can be very nerve wracking aspects, and coming at a full moon makes it doubly so. Pluto will be in harsh aspect to that full moon, so there seems to be an element of unfairness or excessive force to whomever you are tangling with at the time. This full moon in the emotional sign of Pisces seems to heighten feelings.
Still, with Uranus you never know - you could have very surprisingly good news. Uranus is completely unpredictable. Of course, you need not plan for good news - getting it is like getting a box of candy. Adverse news requires a few contingency plans or having a flexible schedule to be able to turn on a dime if necessary.
After you get beyond the full moon, things will go easier. The good part about a full moon is that it delivers news quickly and will require an equally fast response. Then the full moon wanes, and the event will be over. Full moons don't linger.
Those Taurus who were born May 13 or within five days of this date will actually come out in good shape from this full moon, despite how overwrought you may feel during the time.
Mercury will go retrograde from September 24 to October 15, but you will feel at least ten days earlier the slowdown that Mercury will bring. Keep in mind that Mercury is at his worst behavior on the front and end dates of the retrograde, so you won't want to time your actions to fall too close to these dates.
Avoid buying any expensive items during this phase, and certainly not electronics - wait until October 18 and beyond to do so. It also is not the time to sign contracts, to give your word in agreement, or to start anything new and vital during these periods.
As you get into the second half of September, your office, store, or studio - your workplace - will be very busy, for Mars will circulate in your sixth house of new assignments all month. If you were hoping to take a vacation, it seems not to be possible, for your boss will need all hands on deck.
Mercury will retrograde in this same work assignment house, so you may find you have to go over completed work and fix flaws. Alternatively, you may find that a project is suddenly postponed or cancelled or changes direction in some significant way.
You can expect even more assignments to arrive once the new moon arrives September 29. If you are self-employed, this has to be good news - more ways to earn money are on the way! This new moon will be in compatible Virgo, so it looks like you'll enjoy your new projects and they may take you places!
Co-workers will be very cheery and helpful during the first three weeks, bless them, so at work you should feel none of the tension that you might be feeling in your personal life. If you like, you can ask a pal in the next cubicle for a favor on September 11 and expect a positive, caring response. On that day, your ruler, Venus, will contact Mars - that's lovely. In fact, you may even discover a flirtation with a co-worker, and it may even last!
I would like you to dive into your assignments, but not to accept a new job this month. Unless you have Capricorn rising, the new position you might accept now would not bring you up the ladder but rather allow you a lateral move. Wait until the end of January and for aspects in February, when your career aspects REALLY glitter. It will be an amazing time to be rewarded for all that you've done.
Whenever you work really hard, it is good to have a way to offset stress, and there's no better way than to let off steam by exercising in sports or at the gym. The universe seems to understand this and will send you this lovely new moon, August 30, representing your best moment of the year to find a satisfying new moon to make you feel like a million dollars again.
As I wrap up your forecast, let me say this. As you probably gathered, your experience in love will depend on how things have been going up to this month. Romance will be a wildcard in September for you, for the new and full moons seem to be on a mission to find chinks in the armor. If none are there to find, you will sail through this month fairly easily, and may even be surprised to know you'll be getting engaged.
Venus will enter your relationship sector on September 23, so if you do have to talk over a delicate topic with your sweetheart, you will be able to do so in a relaxed atmosphere. Be confident that from that point on you'll get the response you are hoping to get. Indeed, your love life will improve noticeably at month's end, so keep that thought in the forefront of your mind.

All this will occur because on September 3, Saturn will conjoin the Sun. This often represents a difficult, heavy aspect, although some readers report that this annual aspect actually is quite positive. If so, give yourself a few extra days to mull things over before finalizing anything.
Most Taurus will feel the aspects of the month in terms of love and romance, and if that proves true for you, you will have to decide whether to stay and commit, or to walk out and not look back. If you have had hopes that one certain relationship would improve, information that surfaces now will give you the answer one way or the other. You will be urged to be clear-eyed and practical. If you've been living a dream, but one that doesn't correspond with reality, you may feel disillusioned when evidence points otherwise.

On September 4, Jupiter will receive a golden beam from the Sun, and travel, or news from people you know who are based at a distance, will warm your heart. This will be a joyous day, and if you can get out of town, do. If you work with people abroad, you'll get exciting news that a new project will now be green-lighted to move forward. If you have already recently completed an important international assignment, news that your client is enthusiastic about your work should now please you.
News involving a college, a test, or special academic interview should go well. Alternatively, news about a publishing or broadcasting opportunity should be exciting on or near September 4, too.
Do you work in a creative profession? If so, you will find the early days of September to be the right time to hunker down and give all your concentration to your project. If you have suffered delays lately due to the indecision of executives or clients, nearing September 8 the gates should begin to swing open for you.
The personal rockiness you may have felt as the month started, near September 3, will again strike at the full moon, September 12 and 15. Uranus will oppose the Sun and three days later will conjoin the full moon in Pisces on September 15, a jarring aspect. This time, a friend appears to be creating your angst.
Something your friend or lover says at mid-month, possibly quite casually, may cause a fracture that leaves a lasting scar. This incident may also affect your home life, perhaps when a lover or roommate moves out suddenly or causes other domestic concerns. It's also possible you'll be doing the moving out, or if hoping to sell a house, will find that a buyer has to back out, leaving you very disappointed.
If you are happy with your significant other, you may hear that you both will need to live separately due to a new work or study schedule for one of you. Apparently, the situation can't be helped. If this is the case for you, by October next year things will improve and you'll likely be together again, so if this relationship is important to you, be patient over the coming months. The outcome should be positive.
If you're a parent, an alternative way this may manifest is that one of your children may need attention or special help. You may be making plans to have your child enter a new school this semester, or you may look into tutors to give your child get a head start, as a few examples. Think things over carefully, for whatever decision you choose will be in place a long time due to Saturn's position. There is also a chance you'll need to discuss a surprise pregnancy. (If you are not ready, be extra careful in early September.)
Your romance sector may receive spill-off energy too, so near the full moon, although your friendship and group sector seems more "lit up," you should also keep an eye on a romantic partner as well near the full moon, September 15. While some surprises in life are, of course, welcome and upbeat, this time a welcome surprise seems less likely, but (and I underscore this) it's always possible. I am not thrilled about Pluto's position.
In your career, you have been experiencing many changes lately, and last month you likely saw more evidence that the ground is shifting, but there's a good chance that changes will bring you into a better situation. Still, it's busy at work, so you won't have time to gossip with co-workers and colleagues about how upcoming shifts will affect you. As long as Mars is tearing through your sixth house, as it will now through October 3, you will need to work hard and fast to keep up.
Work hard to get your projects done as early in the month as possible. Once you get into the period of Mercury retrograde - September 24 to October 15 - you will have to cope with many delays. You will notice a slowdown as early as September 14 or so, so you'll only have half a month to get things done. Projects will likely require more time and money than you suppose, so if you can get a bit ahead of yourself, you'll later be glad you did.
Additional assignments will show up on your desk after the new moon September 29. If it's a project that had been awaiting approval for a long time, then Mercury in retrograde will favor your involvement in it and you'll do exceptionally well. If a brand new project shows up, make no assumptions about how to proceed, for if you do and are unsure, you may lose time going down the wrong lane. Asking a lot of questions about what's required will pay off.
With "planets gone wild" in September, you would benefit enormously from returning to a committed fitness plan. The universe is about to unveil the perfect new moon for you to begin on September 29. Sign up for a personal trainer or choose group fitness classes you enjoy. Begin them on September 29, or in the week that follows. Taurus is always more motivated by having a great appearance, so pick up flattering workout gear in your favorite shop and get started!
